Youth and Teen Center


Youth and Teen services at the Boothbay Region YMCA is aimed at providing safe, fun and rewarding activities for our community’s youth. We aim to infuse the YMCA’s model of honesty, caring, responsibility and respect into our programs.

The Youth & Teen Center serves YMCA members in Grades 6-12 with afterschool activities. High school students who are not YMCA members are encouraged to take advantage of their free membership through the High School Membership Initiative.



Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 2:30-5pm
Wednesday: 1:30-5pm

A free, healthy snack is provided daily afterschool. The Teen Café also sells Gatorade, water and iced tea.


Working together to better ourselves and the community through volunteer service, community building and leadership. Throughout the year, teens will gain experience and knowledge through a variety of activities and events that will help better themselves.

*Meetings are held the first and third Wednesday of the Month at 1:45pm at the Boothbay Region YMCA. 


The YMCA and the Boothbay Region Elementary School partner to offer activities for middle school students during the CORE period multiple times per week.


Teen nights are when teens can get together for some fun and some food. They are usually themed, so keep an eye out for flyers around the Y and at school.


YIG allows high school students to experience Maine's legislative process by discussing issues that affect them and drafting proposed legislation. The program culminates with teens serving as delegates to the State House in Augusta with peers from across Maine, November 10-12, 2017. Learn more on the Youth in Government website!
