Kids who play sports discover so much more than their athletic abilities. They build character, develop self-confidence and create healthy relationships. The Y offers year-round sports opportunities for kids of all ages and skill levels.
Winter & Spring 2017 Sports
FIELD HOCKEY: Grades 2-8
Winter II: February 27 - April 10
Join Volunteer Coach Michelle Bouchard for skills, drills, and fun! We will practice ball handling, defense and shooting. Please bring sneakers, shin guards and mouth guard; sticks are available if needed.
Members: $35 • Non-Members: $55 • Family Members: $35
March 28; April 4 at BR
March 30; April 6 at CLC
Transportation is provided (8-14 on bus). For the clinics at the CLC, the bus departs the BR at 3pm and returns at 5:30pm.
The Boothbay Region YMCA & CLC YMCA will offer lacrosse clinics for boys & girls in Grades 1-8 for youth to fine tune their skills at the beginning of the season. If you have your own equipment, please bring it; otherwise the Y will provide.
Members: $20 for all 4 • Non-Members: $40 for all 4
LACROSSE LEAGUE: Grades 3-8
Season begins in late April Registration Opens in March
Lacrosse is an exhilarating, fast-paced game which combines many of the skills youth have learned in hockey, soccer, basketball and other competitive sports.Separate teams for boys and girls grouped by grade: Grades 3-4; Grades 5-6; Grades 7-8.
