Youth and Government is an opportunity for high school students to get first hand experience with the legislative process.  Students write bills, debate issues, and eventually vote on proposed legislation.  The program includes a day long training session, where students submit bills and decide to run for various offices available.  The program culminates when the students take the floor of the state House and Senate.  More information is available on Maine’s Youth and Government website: www.yiginme.org
