What's your story ?

Paul and Julie Roberts, 2009 Fund Drive Chairs
On weekends you might see the Roberts exploring the Botanical Gardens, riding their bikes around Ocean Point, or even hiking one of the BRLT trails. On weekdays, you'll find Julie Roberts creating beautiful hair styles, while Paul Roberts is creating new flavors of popcorn to spread around New England. On weekends and weekdays, you'll find the Roberts volunteering at the YMCA. Y-Arts, Girls' Lacrosse, and 2009 Annual Fund Chairs. Why...because they have a story to tell!
What's Our Story?
We are local business owners, community supporters, and parents of an extremely active 9 year old! Like many other parents, we have come to rely on the YMCA as the primary provider of youth oriented programs in the Boothbay area. The commitment to youth development that we have experienced through the YMCA has allowed us to commit ourselves to developing our local businesses.
We support the YMCA through active volunteering. We are committed to developing and coaching the girls' Lacrosse program by teaching skills that will help both on and off the field. We have also learned first-hand how much our area youth gain from their involvement in programs like Y-Arts and Music Theater Workshop.
We attended the 2009 YMCA Annual Dinner, and afterwards, we asked each other one thing: “What would our community be like without the YMCA?” Our answer to this simple question has evolved into our story!
What's Your Story?
Think about how the YMCA has affected your life, and those around you. As you come up with your own story, think about how important it is to support this organization by volunteering time and financial assistance to all of the priceless programs that the YMCA provides to our community.
We thank you and appreciate anything and everything you do to support the Boothbay Region YMCA.
