TThe Boothbay Region YMCA Child Care Enrichment Programs offer opportunities for children to interact in an inclusive, Families are an integral part of our program. Teachers help to introduce diversity through cultural, physical and economic differences, while working with the children and families involved in our programs. Our goal is to create an environment that nurtures, encourages respect, promotes self-esteem and trust. Our hope is that the experiences we offer will promote unique and positive outcomes for the children and families we serve. Our toddlers and preschoolers enjoy weekly swim lessons & field trips and the first Friday of every month -a trip to the library for story hour. Each week following the first, the children’s librarian - Mary Pinkham - brings her program to our Center. Our ultimate goal is to ensure each child has a positive and happy school experience which will lead to a love of school and learning. For more information and registration, contact Meagan Hamblett, Childcare Enrichment Director at 633-4816.

child-directed environment. Our state licensed programs focus on learning through the developmental areas of cognitive, social-emotional, language and physical development, utilizing “play” as the focal point for all learning. We monitor and assist children in the acquisition of new skills, believing that children learn at their own pace, developing skills as they build upon gained knowledge. For those children entering kindergarten the following year, additional kindergarten readiness skills are built into the curriculum to ensure that the soon-to-be kindergarteners in our program possess the fundamentals necessary to help them be successful in kindergarten the following year. We also provide a USDA regulated breakfast, lunch and snack daily.
