About Boothbay Region YMCA
The Boothbay Region YMCA, established in 1955, focuses on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Strengthening the Boothbay Region community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility is our cause. Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive.
There's something for everyone at the Boothbay Region YMCA! We offer state-of-the-art fitness facilities with free weights, personal training, over 45 weekly group fitness classes and a friendly, knowledgeable staff to help you get started and stay motivated. We also offer full-size gymnasium for basketball, floor hockey, dodgeball, and volleyball, as well as a licensed full and part time Child Enrichment Center for children 6 weeks thru 5 years. Our FIT KIDZ after school program helps your school age child - grades K-5 – to grow healthy, happy and strong. The Mary Louise Cowan Field House hosts tennis and basketball courts as well as an Olympic size track. Summer is a particularly exciting time at the Y, with our Camp Knickerbocker Day Camp, Y ARTS Theatre Camp, Adventure Camps and Sport Camps.
In the Fall of 2011 our Y opened it’s new Aquatic Facility with a warm water therapeutic pool alongside a separate 6 lane, 25 yard lap pool which will host swim lessons, our Dolphin Swim Team, lifeguarding courses, family swim time and much, much more.
Thanks to friends of the Y, we provide both Membership and Program Scholarships to individuals, children and families in need and in turn, the opportunity to participate at the Y regardless of ability to pay. Please click here to download a Financial Assistance Application.
We invite you to stop by and take a tour of growing facilities, and learn more about how the Y can help put you and your family on the path to life-long health and wellness today!
